This report finds that appliance efficiency standards are a feasible and cost-effective policy tool for the state of Texas. A package of ten new appliance and equipment energy-efficiency standards that are not regulated at the national level are recommended for Texas, which would have benefits far exceeding costs for consumers in the state, while saving energy and decreasing emissions of air contaminants.
