Utility programs are the primary drivers of energy savings in most states. The latest edition of the Utility Energy Efficiency Scorecard assesses 53 of the largest U.S. electric utilities on their programs to save energy. The 2023 Scorecard has an expanded focus on energy equity and assesses utilities on their efforts to bring energy efficiency to underserved communities and to center those communities in the design of efficiency programs. The Scorecard ranks each utility from first place to 53rd.
