Emily Sims is a Senior Policy Associate on the State & Utility team at ACEEE, leading research and engagements on a range of policies and programs, including energy codes, building performance standards, and local decarbonization strategies for the gas transition. Prior to joining ACEEE in 2023, Emily worked at the World Benchmarking Alliance as a climate and energy research analyst. She holds a bachelor of arts in sustainable development from Columbia University and a master of arts in public policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
