Ben Foster focuses on energy-use feedback programs, enhanced billing, feedback technology investment, and consumer decision-making. His work cuts across multiple sectors and includes analyses of the "state of the energy bill," the Cash for Clunkers Program, and the energy efficiency potential of the U.S. freight sector. He led the development of ACEEE's State Technical Assistance Toolkit and contributed to an energy efficiency potential study for the state of Arkansas. He joined ACEEE in 2010.

Prior to joining ACEEE, Ben worked as a consultant on the carbon and environmental markets in Washington, D.C.

Ben earned a Master of Arts in International Environmental Policy from the Monterey Institute (MIddlebury College) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. He speaks fluent Japanese.
