Electricity Conservation: Potential vs. Achievement

The technical potential for electricity conservation and load management is much greater than the savings that U.S. utilities have achieved to date. Recent trends could narrow the gap between conservation potential and implementation. Load growth among several utilities that have aggressively pursued conservation and load management is examined.
