Your position
In your new position as Operations Manager in the Offshore Wind – Service division, you will be a valuable member of a dedicated and growing team whose mission is to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective services to our offshore wind customers. You will have the chance to manage complex service projects in a dynamic and independent role – and help shape our presence in the U.S. offshore wind market.

Your place of work will be either New Bedford or Martha’s Vineyard, USA. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel frequently as part of the role.
Your tasks & responsibilities
As operation manager, you will report to the Director for Offshore Wind Service Operation and will be responsible for the P&L within your area.
As operation managers you have an important role towards the clients as well as service leads and technicians and must therefore act as an ambassador/motivator on company policies, values, cross-divisional co-operation, methods and guidelines.
As operations managers you will ensure that all work is carried out in line with relevant regulations and standards with regards to Health, Safety and the Environment.
Further you are responsible for productivity and quality and will, together with the wider Semco Maritime organisation, work hard to ensure good customer satisfaction.
Tasks will include:
- Managing, coordinating and planning tasks, services and projects
- Listening to customers and suggesting solutions
- Solving problems
- Setting the team and contributing to the execution
- Take ownership to continue the strengthen of our safety culture
- Participate actively to enrol new digital solutions for optimization and improved services
Your profile & qualifications
The role matches a person with an ambitious and target-driven mindset and a strong, technical background.
In addition to +5 years of relevant experience, we expect you:
- To have a technical background or long-term experience with technical disciplines and services as well as experience from large and complex projects
- To be self-standing and able to plan your own work. You are proactive and persistent in reaching the best solutions
- To understand how to approach other people to create profitable and long-term relationships
- To be a team player able to integrate well within any group
- To be used to travelling and willing to travel to areas where potential clients operate
You may not have all the experience mentioned above, but you have a desire to develop and to add this to your competencies.
