States and municipalities are eligible to apply for funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to address a variety of transportation-related needs, including those related to improving energy efficiency. Money is available for distribution through the Department of Energy's Energy-Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program, the Surface Transportation Program (STP) or the National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program.
