Brooke Lockwood

State Policy Advocate, Appliance Standard Awareness Project (ASAP)

Brooke Lockwood joined the Appliance Standard Awareness Project (ASAP) as a state policy advocate in 2025. She develops impactful relationships with state legislators and coalitions of stakeholders to drive meaningful policy that advances energy efficient appliance and lighting standards. 

Prior to joining ASAP, Brooke worked as public policy and advocacy manager at the Alzheimer’s Association New Jersey Chapter, where she directed a network of more than eighty volunteers in support of health equity and long-term care legislation. She also served as deputy chief of staff in a New Jersey state legislative office, where she worked on policies related to climate resilience, building electrification, and green space preservation.

Brooke earned a bachelor of arts in political science and a bachelor of science in public health from Rutgers University
