Comments Before the Senate Finance Committee on the Topic of Energy Tax Reform

ACEEE’s formal comments, as filed with the Senate Finance Committee, support the inclusion of energy efficiency incentives as part of tax reform, noting that efficiency incentives are generally a lower cost way to meet the Committee’s clean energy goals than the items in the Committee’s proposal.  Supports providing performance-based energy efficiency tax incentives for new and existing homes and commercial buildings as well as light- and heavy-duty vehicles based on the general incentive structure proposed by the Committee.
