This report examines three products for which the U.S. Department of Energy is now developing new product efficiency standards. For each of these three products, the report discusses technical options, makes recommendations, and provides an economic analysis on the costs and benefits of the recommended standard. Includes results of state-by-state analyses on savings and cost by product. Other federal standards due for upgrades are also discussed.
