Comments to the Department of Energy on Inflation Reduction Act Technical Assistance for Latest and Zero Building Energy Code Adoption

ACEEE filed comments in response to the Department of Energy’s Request for Information regarding best practices for technical assistance for latest and zero building energy code adoption the agency is funding under the Inflation Reduction Act. ACEEE’s comments focused on supporting jurisdictions through templates, tools, and streamlined processes. They also recommended allowing jurisdictions to focus their efforts on the areas where they can have the greatest impact through energy savings, decarbonization, and community benefits, which include advancing equity, affordability, and workforce development.
