Elizabeth Traynor

Senior Research Analyst, Buildings Program

Liz is a Senior Research Analyst in ACEEE’s Buildings Program, where she conducts research on building decarbonization, including electrification, thermal energy storage, and demand flexibility for commercial buildings. Her work spans emerging technologies and market transformation, utility program design, and local clean energy policy.
Prior to joining ACEEE, Liz worked as a consultant at E3, focusing on economywide decarbonization and future of natural gas studies.
Liz holds a master of public administration in environmental science and policy from Columbia University and a bachelor of arts in physics from the University of Oxford.
