In this webinar, ACEEE discusses research findings about efforts to advance social equity in two leading cities, Providence and Portland, OR. Leah Bamberger and Monica Huertas will discuss efforts in Providence to center equity in climate action planning, including the work of the Racial and Environmental Justice Committee and development of the Climate Justice Plan. Oriana Magnera of Verde will discuss the Zero Cities Project in Portland, an effort to prioritize policies that increase racial equity and achieve a zero-carbon building sector by 2050.
