Hellen Chen conducts research within the Industry Program on technologies and policies for reducing embodied carbon, the cement and concrete industries, and the utility sector. She joined ACEEE in 2023. Prior to joining ACEEE, Hellen worked as a graduate research assistant at the Baylor Energy and Renewable Systems lab, where she explored behavior and mitigation techniques for bearing currents, a key issue in advanced motor drive systems. Hellen has a master of science in electrical and computer engineering and bachelor of science in engineering, both from Baylor University.
