Camron Assadi

Camron Assadi leads marketing, communications, and conferences at ACEEE and serves on the organization’s leadership team. He sets the strategy that turns ACEEE’s technical research into arguments policymakers, utilities, business leaders, and community advocates can act on.

Since joining ACEEE in 2022, Camron has led the organization’s brand and messaging work and directed the 2026 relaunch of aceee.org, rebuilding how decades of research is organized and presented so that specialists and newcomers can both find what they need. He directs a team spanning editorial, digital media, design, web, and data systems. His purview includes press and media relations, membership and partner communications, and marketing for ACEEE’s conference program, including the biennial Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings. He also leads ACEEE’s approach to AI, developing practices for how a research organization can use these tools without compromising the rigor its work depends on.

Camron has spent two decades building communications and fundraising programs for climate, science, and global development organizations. He was vice president of digital marketing at ABD Direct, where he led digital strategy for Greenpeace USA, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and The Century Foundation. As director of marketing and communications at Water For People, he grew marketing-driven fundraising revenue by more than 40 percent. He was the director of the Climate Relief Fund, a rapid-response climate disaster relief effort backed by more than thirty corporate and NGO partners, and led marketing for PLOS ONE, then the world’s largest scientific journal.

Camron holds a degree in psychology from the University of Utah.
