Shared Charging Hubs for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Electric Vehicles

Shared charging hubs are semi-public charging sites for electric vehicles; access to chargers is shared among more than one customer. This emerging EV charging solution can help fleets overcome some of the barriers posed by public and private chargers while also reducing up-front costs. However, given that these hubs require several megawatts of power, their energy loads must be planned for and coordinated with utilities.
