Project Coordinator (Advanced Energy)

TRC is seeking project coordinators to support the delivery of a large commercial energy efficiency program in the state of Oregon and SW Washington. This position is responsible for coordinating the operational aspects of energy savings projects and incentive payments for customers that contribute towards meeting annual Program energy savings goals.

Primary job activities include:

  • Determine if project applications qualify for an incentive, work with customers, contractors and Energy Advisors to obtain missing information, process projects using proprietary software system
  • Accurately document customer interactions and project details in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Provide information and explanations on energy efficiency measures and qualifying equipment to customers and contractors and support them in completing required energy efficiency Program applications and documentation
  • Answer customer calls and provide program information utilizing call center software
  • Perform project file setup and project coordination according to established procedural, data security, confidentiality and quality control standards
  • Perform project file processing, QC review of team members' projects, and prepare project documentation to meet strict weekly project rebate payment deadlines
  • Provide outstanding customer service, utilizing excellent communication skills and positive attitude to work with detailed requests from customers, client staff, and internal team members
  • Coordinate and track the details of several projects in various stages at one time
  • Maintain attention to detail, requiring the ability to understand technical requirements and determine if the project meets the necessary requirements to qualify for cash incentives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with minimum of two years related experience, or equivalent combined experience and education
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office tools (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Strong customer service background and interpersonal skills to include highly effective communication in person, over email, and by phone
  • Experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or a similar system to effectively track customer and/or project details
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects to meet short turn-around times while effectively adhering to strict quality control standards
  • Self-driven team player, with the ability to work effectively independently or collaboratively
  • Enjoys working as part of a diverse team, collaborates effectively, and maintains professionalism under deadline pressure
  • Capacity to understand technical concepts and apply that to projects to ensure technical requirements are met
  • Ability to explain program requirements to diverse customers

Desired Skills:

  • Experience or familiarity with utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs
  • Experience processing incentive rebates for energy efficiency projects
  • Experience working with commercial prescriptive and custom energy efficiency projects
