Scope and Objectives
The intent of the project was two-fold: (1) to provide information about top quality energy efficiency program designs and implementation techniques that might help others to improve their programs or serve as models for new programs and initiatives; and (2) to provide recognition to those who are doing an excellent job in their energy efficiency efforts.
The project's scope was national. ACEEE sought to identify and solicit nominations from across the United States of programs that merited consideration as among the best programs in the nation. ACEEE sought programs of all types, including resource acquisition, market transformation, industry collaboratives, and professional education. We also sought programs serving all customer classes (residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial) and covering a wide variety of end-use technologies, including lighting, HVAC, industrial processes, and consumer appliances.
