Achievable Electricity Conservation Potential: The Role of Utility and Non-Utility Programs
Steven Nadel
1991
Abstract
This review looks at utility demand-side management (DSM) results and plans; a
study of the achievable conservation potential in New York State; and estimates
of the energy savings available from market forces, building codes and
equipment efficiency standards. It concludes that utilities can reduce
projected electricity sales and peak demand by more than 20% by 2010. Prepared
for the 5th National Demand-Side Management Conference.
