Adam Christensen Staff Engineer, Appliance Standards Awareness Project (ASAP)

Adam Christensen joined ASAP in 2012. Adam leads ASAP’s technical analysis on energy efficiency standards for a focused subset of technologies that are subject to a Department of Energy (DOE) rule.  Adam is responsible for conducting research that will serve as the foundation for future energy efficiency standards.  Additionally, he is focused on the development and implementation of various strategic plans and technical research initiatives that will advance energy efficiency for targeted home appliances, lighting products, and commercial and industrial equipment.

Prior to joining ASAP, he served two years as a Congressional Science Fellow, sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.  During his Fellowship, Adam was focused on several aspects of energy policy, including energy efficiency, for both Rep. Jay Inslee (D-WA) and Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). 

Adam earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
