State Grant Program - Manufacturing Efficiency Program

Summary: The Washington State University Extension Energy Program (WSU) currently has incentive funds available to help implement eligible energy efficiency projects at industrial manufacturing companies throughout Washington state. Projects with electricity and/or natural gas savings are eligible, and must be within the industrial sector (residential, commercial, institutional, or public projects will not qualify). WSU incentive funds can be combined with utility incentives; the utility serving the manufacturer will keep the conservation credits. The maximum award per project/company is $10,000 and the Energy Program expects to help fund approximately 30 projects through 2010. Washington state industrial companies may also contact the Energy Program for engineering technical assistance, energy assessments, best practices trainings, support for CHP (Combined Heat and Power) projects, and more. This support is made possible through state and federal funding.
