State Energy Policy Resources
More and more governments are looking to energy efficiency and renewable energy to help meet energy and climate challenges. While some states are leading in these efforts, as identified in the recent 2009 State Energy Efficiency Scorecard, many states are just beginning to explore the prospects for these clean energy resources. These latter states are seeking to understand the opportunities and the policy options that are available to them that would allow them to make use of these clean energy resources to meet more of their energy needs.
ACEEE provides a number of resources to states, including the State Energy Efficiency Policy Database and our work with specific states through the State Clean Energy Resource Project (SCERP) potential studies.

A number of other organizations also have useful information for states, businesses, activists, and others concerned with state-level energy policies.
