Building Codes

Oregon State Energy Codes

Summary:

The 2008 Oregon Residential Specialty Code (ORSC) and the 2007 Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) are mandatory statewide. The ORSC requires compliance for 1-2 family residential buildings and is based off the 2006 IRC, with state amendments that make it more stringent than the 2006 IECC. The OSSC is based of the 2006 IBC with state amendments that make it more stringent than ASHRAE 90.1-2004.
