Statute § 2357.46, Energy Efficiency Residential Construction Tax Credit

Summary: As of January 1st, 2006, Oklahoma allows contractors to take a credit against eligible expenditures on improvements used in the construction of an energy-efficient home that does not exceed 2,000 square feet.  Eligible expenditures include heating and cooling systems, insulation, windows, doors, and roofs that reduce heat gain.  The contractor can take a tax credit for the amount of the eligible expenditures, not to exceed $2,000 for a home that is between 20% and 39% above the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) 2003 or $4,000 for a home that is 40% or above the IECC.
