Home Energy Loan Program

Summary: The Home Energy Loan Program offers low interest loans for homeowners for various efficiency improvements, including water heaters, furnaces, windows, air conditioners, insulation, and doors. The program is administered by Center for Energy and Environment Financial Resources and allows for a maximum loan of $10,000 for terms up to 5 years.

Rental Rehabilitation Program

Summary: The Minnesota Housing Finance Agency's (MHFA) Rehabilitation Loan Program provides low-interest loans for energy conservation and other basic improvements to single- and multi-family rental units. Maximum loans are $25,000 and $100,000, respectively, for terms up to 15 years.

Rental Energy Loan Program

Summary: The Rental Energy Loan Program provides low-interest loans to owners of residential rental properties for energy efficiency improvements. The program is not restricted to low-income owners, and covers a wide range of energy efficiency measures. Loans are given at a maximum of $10,000 for terms up to 5 years.
