In the two years since our last conference
on these issues, continuing developments at the state, national,
and global levels have served to heighten even further the importance
of energy efficiency as a resource. Soaring energy prices, continued
concerns over utility system reliability, and the growing awareness
of environmental cost risks associated with increasing energy consumption,
have all contributed to an unprecedented level of interest in the
use of energy efficiency as a strategic resource.
In response, ACEEE is pleased to announce the third National Conference
on Energy Efficiency as a Resource. Building upon the two very successful
prior conferences in 2001 and 2003, we expect this year's conference
to attract over 250 leading energy efficiency professionals, including
regulators, planners, administrators, researchers, and program implementers.
This will be the premier conference of the year for focusing on
the use of energy efficiency as a resource, and will include the
most recent developments in the regulatory and policy arenas as
well as the latest state and national research results in this field.
Specific topics include:
In addition to a full program of presentations by leading national
experts, more time will be available for networking at the 2005
conference. A specific time period and meeting rooms will be available
to host informal sessions, to allow for networking, and to enable
further discussion and follow-up on topics presented in the formal
sessions.
