Session Synopsis - "Transforming the Market to Energy-Efficient Windows in Hot Climates"

Howard Geller, Southwest Energy Efficiency Project
Kate Offringa, Alliance to Save Energy

Monday, August 23
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

There is considerable potential to reduce electricity use and peak power demand through greater adoption of energy-efficient windows in hot climates. This session will review past and ongoing efforts to promote the availability and use of low solar gain low-E windows in hotter regions of the United States including efforts in Florida, Texas, and the desert southwest. The session leaders will also present some ideas for new initiatives as well as solicit suggestions from those attending the session.
