Session Synopsis - "Energy Efficiency in Affordable Housing: How Do We Make It Happen?"

Kathy Kuntz, Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corp

Monday, August 23
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation has made a corporate commitment to use its in-house building science skills and resources to collaborate with affordable housing groups to improve the energy efficiency of Wisconsin's affordable housing stock. Further, we want to do this in a sustainable way. But that is easier said than done. In this session we will talk a bit about what we are trying and the barriers we see but our primary objective in this session is to open a dialogue with program folk from other areas of the country--to talk about how those of us in the residential energy efficiency arena can most effectively influence the construction practices of affordable housing groups.
