Session Synopsis - "Defining Energy Star Criteria for Multifamily Buildings"

Jim Mapp, Wisconsin Division of Energy

Tuesday, August 24
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

EPA has defined criteria for an Energy Star label for commercial buildings and small residential buildings (up to 3 floors). Currently there is no defined national criteria for an Energy Star label that can apply to multifamily buildings 4 floors or greater. This session will summarize and extend the discussion that has been evolving since the summer of 2003 on appropriate criteria for Energy Star multifamily buildings. This session should be of particular interest to those involved in the design and administration of multifamily new construction energy efficiency programs.
