Session Synopsis - "Greening Schools, Greening Students "

Merrilee Harrigan, Alliance to Save Energy

Tuesday, August 20
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

This session will discuss the Alliance to Save Energy's Green Schools program and its successes in saving energy in schools while educating students about the "why" behind the wall switch.

We welcome discussion about the opportunities to engage students in saving energy beyond schools -- in their homes and communities. We will also discuss the impact this "project-based learning" has on the students themselves, including student learning, test scores, leadership opportunities, and careers.
