This position, reporting to the SVP of HR, will be located in our Portland, Ore. office.

Role Description
The HR Operations Director will enhance HR’s overall capabilities and capacities through best practices, streamlined processes, and systems optimization to align HR’s strategic delivery service model with our growing organization.

• Will review, develop and continuously improve the efficiency and quality of the HR services provided to the organization related to talent acquisition, eLearning, payroll, HRIS development and compliance.
• Will be responsible to provide HR systems, processes and practices to integrate and collaborate across geographical and business functions to optimize operational excellence across boundaries.
• Will have responsibility to plan and execute acquisition integration activities to ensure the employee experience is positive, scalable and continuously improved.
• Using best practices and professional sources, will establish, implement, maintain and train employees and managers on the HR policies, procedures and programs and the Employee Guidebook Handbook. Will ensure Ecova is current and in compliance with all HR policy directives and applicable regulations.
• Will ensure Ecova’s intranet creates an employee / manager self-service infrastructure providing easy access to HR processes, practices and policies.
• Will effectively partner with the Business Partner & Compensation & Benefit Centers of Excellence to ensure effective program introduction, leadership alignment and employee awareness and acceptance of changes that affect the Ecova Employee Experience.
• Will proactively identify opportunities or improved processes to support HR’s role as a business partner. Will assist stakeholders and other users to re-engineer existing processes, identify gaps and possible solutions.
• Will develop, manage and execute the strategic, operational and technological direction of an online/e-learning technology based learning including business requirements for LMS, online learning, virtual classrooms and other web-based learning resources.

Role Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required.
• An advanced degree and/or (S)PHR certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of Human Resource experience, with a minimum of 5 years managing large scale HR operations and/or Shared Services departments in a leadership or senior contributor role.
• “Change Agent" experience leading projects and teams with process improvement, workflow design and optimization is required.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment and versatility to manage multiple projects, priorities and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously.
• Creative leadership and strong management skills and the ability to work in a highly matrixed, high-context environments are paramount to success in this role.
• Ability to motivate individuals and teams to accomplish goals and exceed expectations while fostering a strong collaborative work environment focused on excellence in customer service and satisfaction, and personal and professional development is essential.
• Ability to “think outside of the box” to provide customized solutions that unify best practices, compliance requirements and the business needs.
• Must quickly establish credibility at all levels within the organization and have the ability and desire to embrace change as well as the ability to lead others through the change process.
• Is comfortable challenging the status quo and willing to "roll up their sleeves and get things done" as well as possess a “can do" attitude.
• Must demonstrate highly effective interpersonal communication skills and a desire to coach and develop others to ensure “best in class” delivery of HR services.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, independently and within a collaborative team oriented environment.
• Must be detail-oriented, analytical, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment, and able to perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
• Ability to work with to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
