National Energy Services Conference & Expo, January 29-31,
2008 at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach,

on February 18-20
RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) will hold its 2008
Building Performance Conference in San Diego at the Sheraton
San Diego Hotel and Marina on February 18-20, 2008 with pre-conference
sessions on February 16 and 17. This year's theme is "A Changing
ClimateAn Emerging Opportunity" and participants will gain
first-hand exposure to the latest business practices, technologies,
products, and policy initiatives.

NESEA (Northeast Sustainable Energy Association) has scheduled its
BuildingEnergy08
conference and trade show for March 11-13, 2008 at the Seaport World
Trade Center in Boston. The conference will showcase the leading
edge of green building and clean energy in high-performance buildings,
retrofit and rehabilitation of existing buildings, and renewable
energy. Online registration will be available starting December
21, 2007.
The 2nd Global Venture Challenge to be Presented by Oak Ridge
National Laboratory, April 2-4, 2008
This unique educational event presented by ORNL is designed to foster
entrepreneurial spirit by engaging students, industry, government,
and the investment community in the discovery and development of
innovative ideas to address energy needs. Graduate school teams
from throughout the world will vie for a minimum $50,000 cash prize
in the Idea to Product® competition judged by experienced energy
executives, venture capitalists, technologists, entrepreneurs, and

California Utilities Announce 3rd Party Energy Efficiency RFP
The California Investor-Owned Utilities Pacific Gas and Electric
Company, Southern California Edison Company, San Diego Gas &
Electric, and Southern California Gas Company, under the auspices
of the California Public Utilities Commission, are requesting general,
targeted, and innovative proposals for their 2009-2011 Energy Efficiency
Program Portfolios from third parties to deliver energy efficiency
programs in their respective service territories. This solicitation
process is designed to help uncover newer methods or program designs
for capturing cost effective, reliable energy savings (kWh and therms),and
associated peak demand reduction (kW) for both the short and long-term.
Requests for proposals will be issued from November 9, 2007 through
January 30, 2008. Interested parties should register at https://www.pepma-ca.com
