NOMINATIONS REQUESTED!
LOOKING FOR AMERICA’S BEST ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS
ACEEE is seeking to recognize and profile America’s leading utility-sector energy efficiency programs. Exemplary energy efficiency programs of all types and for all customer sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural) and end-use technologies are being sought. The only constraint is that they must be “utility sector” energy efficiency programs (i.e., funded by utility rates, public benefits charges, or other similar utility revenue mechanisms). The programs can be administered by utilities, government agencies, or “third party” independent administrators. Both electric and natural gas programs are eligible.
Nominations are due April 30, 2007. Nomination forms and more information are now available.
This is ACEEE’s second national review and recognition of exemplary energy efficiency programs. The first such review took place in 2003 and a report detailing it is available online. Programs recognized in the earlier review are eligible for our second national review, but must be nominated with complete and updated information as any other new nominations must be.
An expert panel will review and select programs for recognition. ACEEE will publish a complete catalog of profiles of all selected programs in the fall of 2007. For questions on this review, please contact Dan York (608-243-1123) or Marty Kushler (517-655-7037).
