CALL FOR PAPERS: SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT FOR SUMMER STUDY 2006 BY OCTOBER 21st

October 21, 2005 is the deadline for submitting your abstract for the 2006 Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings which will be held August 13-18, 2006. Full instructions are posted on our site where you will also find the complete list of Panels and Panel Leaders.

Co-Chairs John Busch, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Ron Judkoff, National Renewable Energy Laboratory are leading this "lucky 13th" Summer Study and have chosen "Less is More: En Route to Zero Energy Buildings" as the theme. The "Buildings" Summer Study will again be held at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, California. New to the 2006 conference, and tying in with the "Less is More" theme, is plenty of downtime for networking. In addition, more roundtables and interactive sessions are being planned, including an "Energy Conversations" Panel. For the first time, full papers will be accepted for abstract submission (the details are included in the "Abstract Submission" instructions).

Authors are encouraged to contribute their most creative work on topics such as:

  • energy technologies and information technologies
  • market transformation
  • design and performance of buildings
  • program design, implementation, and evaluation
  • human and social dimensions of energy use
  • de/re-regulation of the utility industry and utility system reliability
  • efficient buildings in efficient communities
  • role of energy service companies
  • energy and environmental policies - local, national and international policy dimensions

Information about the Call for Papers can be found on ACEEE's Web site. Or, contact Rebecca Lunetta at (302) 292-3966 or rlunetta@comcast.net for more information.

Don't miss the chance to participate in this pre-eminent energy efficiency conference in the beautiful setting of Asilomar.
