About ACEEE --> ACEEE Newsletters --> Issue #4 --> Article #8

October 6, 2004

A CORNUCOPIA OF NEW PUBLICATIONS ONLINE AND IN HARD COPY

The Guide to Energy-Efficient Commercial Equipment has been updated and is now available online for free! This update will not be available in hard copy. The online guide covers lighting fixtures; heating, ventilating, or air conditioning (HVAC) equipment; motors; transformers; packaged refrigeration units; or office equipment for a commercial building. View the new Online Guide to Energy-Efficient Commercial Equipment.

Our 2004 edition of the Most Energy-Efficient Appliances is available in hard copy ($10 each, ppd. or call 202-429-0063 for bulk order discounts). View the top-rated appliances in each category.

ASAP (Appliance Standards Awareness Project) and ACEEE just published a report critical of USDOE for delaying delay in setting new appliance efficiency standards for residential furnaces and boilers, commercial air conditioners, and distribution transformers. Powerful Priorities: Updating Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential Furnaces, Commercial Air Conditioners, and Distribution Transformers can be downloaded for free at http://www.standardsasap.org or purchased online from ACEEE.

Other brand new reports from ACEEE are Set-Top Boxes: Opportunities & Issues in Setting Efficiency Standards and Rating the Environmental Impacts of Motor Vehicles: ACEEE's Green Book® Methodology, 2004 Edition. Both are also available in hard copy and can be ordered online.

Elsewhere in this e-newsletter, we provided links to recent publications, but here they are again (we don't want you to miss them!). The new proceedings from the 2004 ACEEE Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Emerging Energy-Saving Technologies and Practices for the Buildings Sector as of 2004 are available for purchase. Watch for additional emerging technology material on California to be published soon.
