STILL TIME TO REGISTER!
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES IN ENERGY EFFICIENCY SUMMIT
HILTON SAN FRANCISCO, OCTOBER 14-15, 2004

There is still time to register for the Emerging Technologies in Energy Efficiency Summit to be held at the Hilton San Francisco in San Francisco, California on October 14 and 15. This inaugural Summit is attracting policymakers, program planners and implementers, researchers, technology developers, financiers, manufacturers, and end-users to discuss the latest innovations in energy-efficient technologies and practices. ACEEE, the California Investor-Owned Utilities, and the California Energy Commission are sponsoring the conference.

Sessions will include:

  • An opening keynote address featuring prominent figures from California and other regions discussing the policy implications of developing and promoting emerging technologies and practices.
  • Additional plenary sessions led by leading players in the emerging technology field which will showcase success stories from emerging technology efforts.
  • Smaller working sessions during which participants and presenters will discuss a number of timely topics in greater depth. Two program tracks will cover specific building technologies and practices through individual sessions. Another track will focus on policy and process concerns, and a fourth track will address tactics and strategies for promoting emerging technologies in the marketplace.

An Emerging Technologies Showcase and reception will be held the evening of October 14 at the Pacific Energy Center. Full conference registration is $300 and one-day registration is $225. The Summit's announcement provides a full program description and registration information.

In addition to the Emerging Technologies Summit, ACEEE has published a report on selected technologies and practices which promise to save energy. See Emerging Energy-Saving Technologies and Practices for the Buildings Sector as of 2004.
