WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Welcome to ACEEE's first e-newsletter! It doesn't (yet) have a name—perhaps fitting since we don't (yet) have an energy bill, either. We'll send it to you episodically, as ACEEE news "happens", and the look may change depending on needs and whims. We hope you will welcome us into your inbox, pass this along to your colleagues, write us with your reactions, suggest items or topics for future editions, and help us NAME THIS NEWSLETTER.

Enter our "Name This Newsletter" contest and win prizes!

Our staff, board, and even a few unsuspecting colleagues have tried to dub this newsletter everything from "Watts Goin' Down? (Up? On?)" to "In Grid We Trust" (that was before the great blackout of 8/14). Other suggested names range from "Beyond Two Sticks," to "DUDE (Distributing Up to Date Efficiency)" or the "Family Joules." Obviously, we need your help.

Enter our "Name This Newsletter" contest. Send us suggestions for names—ones that might bring a smile, a good feeling, and sense of shared purpose in promoting an energy-efficient world. Enter as many times as you like. We're prepared to offer the winner special prizes which could include ACEEE memorabilia, free copies of our publications, or a free pass to the Monterey Aquarium during the 2004 Summer Study.
